Job Opportunity

Job Title: Associate Director Large Molecule Bioanalysis
Locations: Midwest (Illinois)
Industry: Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical
Type: Full-time, Perm

Description: Our client company seeks a talented individual to assist expanding the companies’ services to also offer large molecule services. An excellent opportunity to develop, build, and lead a new department and company function, and also a key leadership role. Excellent career growth prospects to the Director level.

Contributions:

  • Primary responsibility for large molecule strategy, technology, and lab productivity.
  • Lead a team of laboratory scientists to achieve client commitments, meet quality standards, and department goals. 
  • Key contact for scientific interactions with customers. 
  • Plan and direct proficient method development and validation for immunoassays.
  • Prepare Standard Operation procedures, work sheets, study plans, and final reports.
  • Serve as a Leader/technical contributor to presentations, scientific papers, and industry conferences. 
  • Coach and mentor technical talent.  Handle multiple projects at a time.
  • Assist Business Development with proposal preparation.

Capabilities:

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Biology, Life Sciences, or Chemistry.
  • At least 5 years bench-level experience in large molecule bioanalysis including ligand binding assays, immunogenicity assays and related technology.
  • At least 5 years in management experience.
  • Strong communications skills with both internal and external customers, team player.
  • Experience as Principal Investigator and proficient in method development, method validation, bio-sample preparation and study sample analysis.
  • Knowledge of drug development process, FDA and other regulatory guidelines for pharmacokinetic assays.
  • Can provide sound guidance, advice, and direction to other scientific professionals.
